The Peppermint Tree experience offers a comforting, home-like space, filled with passionate early childhood educators who know how to have fun! In addition to the research-based proven curriculum, which is lovingly delivered by our dedicated teachers, the children enjoy our beautiful park-like playground to explore nature, run, climb, slide, swing, and dig! Our gardens provide the long-term authentic study of seeds, plants, flowers, vegetables, and healthy eating. We are also the home base of Mr. Scott the Music Man, who provides monthly music and movement experiences for the children. We are proud of our school, and the curriculum, experienced and credentialed staff, as well as our facility and grounds, and we hope you will love it too. Our four-star rating from the State of NJ means that our program has been vetted and is in line with the NJ Department of Education's expectations for high-quality preschool. At Peppermint Tree we place a great deal of focus on each child?s social and emotional development. We are proud to have been selected by the State of New Jersey to be one of just a handful of private school Implementation Sites for the Pyramid Model, which is an approach to support children in learning about their emotions and how to express them, and how to be a good friend and a positive member of the classroom community. Our teachers model pro-social behaviors, problem-solving skills, and empathy, helping children to socialize and build their own social skills. Our program helps to set children up with healthy social patterns to prepare them for success throughout their lives.
