M&M Thread Salon's story begins in the Himalayas and tangles with immigration, women empowerment, and the American dream. Without any prior business experience, 4 year college degree, or fluency in English, M&M was established by a former house wife in Kathmandu, Nepal. With help from her family, a single family owned salon in Berkeley expanded itself into a chain of six. Today M&M proudly serves the people of Bay Area from 6 different locations. The ladies of M&M take pride in their artistic abilities and put smile on the faces of our clients -- one eyebrow at a time. Our mission is to help build each others confidence through threading and aesthetics.
