Hi and welcome to Enviro Pet. I am Sherry Agee owner / groomer. My love for dogs and a need to get out of the house is what started my journey into dog grooming. I started out in 1984 as a kennel tech at Union Lake Pet Services. Tiring of scooping poop, I graduated to dog bathing at Lakeside Pets and was then trained by the groomers there. I groomed there for 3 years before freelancing then went to work at the Trim Shop of W. Bloomfield, MI. I groomed there until 1990 when the rat race sent me scurrying to the peace and tranquility of Northern MI. My plan to retire was short lived, I missed the dogs. I started grooming at Northern Pet Center (now Bay Area Pet Resort). I groomed and was also a kennel attendant until 1994 when I was poisoned by flea dip and was forced to stop working. After a year of going from Doctor to Doctor, I was finally diagnosed with Hydrocarbonisum. As a result of the poisoning, I developed MCS (multi.chem.sensitivity) and could no longer have cont act with products that contained chemicals or pesticides so that is how I became the first natural in the area. I turned part of my basement into a grooming shop and opened for business on Nov. 5 1995.
