The fine antique furniture restoration and reproduction studio of Tarrytown Woodworks was established in 1985. Our mission is to preserve the art of traditional woodworking and the integrity of valued pieces from all ages and origins. Expert craftsman Eric Clingen uses time honored tools and techniques to skillfully restore a full range of antique pieces, art objects and family heirlooms. Eric specializes in the repair and restoration of antique and vintage furniture, including Structural and joinery repairs Carving and turning Veneer work Finish restoration French polishing Over the past 30 plus years, Tarrytown Woodworks has restored literally thousands of pieces of furniture and carvings, from medieval to mid-century modern, from simple folk art to the work of renowned furniture designers. Pieces restored range from the refined and diverse work of the shakers, Gustav Stickley, and Tiffany Studios, to the Mid Century Modern work of Eames, George Nakashima, and Hans Wegner.
